Commemorative wallpaper will be uploaded to the official website shortly. Version 3.0.0 was reconfirmed for April 21, 2020, adding Oracle and Bandit characters. Jet Lancer Coming to Japan

Armor Games Studios will also be bringing the aerial combat shoot ’em up Jet Lancer to the Nintendo Switch eShop in Japan with Kakehashi Games handling the localisation. Fushigi no Gensokyo -Lotus Labyrinth- Updated

AQUASTYLE have updated the latest Touhou Genso Wanderer game Fushigi no Gensokyo -Lotus Labyrinth- to Version 1.13 on Nintendo Switch which fixes a bug from the previous (Ver.1.12) update where the game wouldn’t start under certain conditions. CERO Announce Suspension of Business

Japan’s Computer Entertainment Rating Organization (abbreviated as CERO) have announced suspension of operations from April 8 until May 6, 2020, and possibly after. The suspension is due to Tokyo being declared a state of emergency by Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. CERO add that it is not possible for staff and reviewers to work from home. All staff will be on standby at home, and the office will be closed during this time. It’s inevitable that multiple game releases will now receive delays going forward until normal service resumes.

Nintendo TOKYO Set to Close

Nintendo have announced that the Nintendo TOKYO store will close from April 8, 2020, until further notice due to the closure of the Shibuya PARCO facilities. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has declared a state of emergency in several regions in Japan including Tokyo, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier today, the Kirby Café announced its plans to close. Nintendo Switch Shortages This Week

Nintendo have tweeted that Nintendo Switch systems (including the pictured Animal Crossing edition) and Nintendo Switch Lite systems will not be shipped this week in Japan except to persons that have placed reservations. Nintendo will inform about the future shipping schedule for next week and beyond in due course. In related news: Digitimes report of an increased Switch production by 20% in the past two weeks.

Kirby Café TOKYO Set to Close

HAL Laboratory have announced the temporary closure of Kirby Café TOKYO, along with the Kirby Café The Store TOKYO, from April 8, 2020, until further notice due to the closure of the café’s commercial facilities. Japan’s PM Shinzo Abe has declared a state of emergency for several areas of Japan, including Tokyo, due to the escalation of the coronavirus pandemic. All reservations have thus been cancelled.
