● I don’t normally like posting rumours but a couple of noteworthy ones from the past couple of days with the first being a Flipnote Studio Switch version (thanks to Kody and Source Gaming). The other is from multiple outlets and includes a new Paper Mario, remasters of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy, and a deluxe version of Super Mario 3D World.
Behaviour Interactive have updated the horror game Dead by Daylight to Version 3.6.2 on Nintendo Switch in Japan with a number of bug fixes detailed in the patch notes below. Purchase the packaged version at this link.
Rumours from both the VGC and Eurogamer websites lead to speculation over what the 35th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. game will entail. VGC report that “Nintendo will reveal plans to re-release most of Super Mario’s 35-year back catalogue this year, remastered for Nintendo Switch” and that “Nintendo will also release several other Mario titles in 2020, including a new instalment in the Paper Mario series.” Eurogamer also list Super Mario Galaxy as “one of the games being readied for a remaster, alongside a couple of other 3D Mario favourites.” Eurogamer too corroborate the Paper Mario story, “along with a Deluxe version of Super Mario 3D World, which will include an array of new levels.” Edit: Gematsu also add high-definition remasters of Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine to the list.
Square-Enix have announced limited-edition Trials of Mana consoles for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 which you can own via entering an upcoming competition. Yunuo Games have announced that the competitive online shooting battle game Synaptic Drive has gone gold for Nintendo Switch and will release worldwide on May 28, 2020. Japan will even get a physical release which you can pre-order at this link. The director of Synaptic Drive is Kouji Kenjo – the creator of the cult-classic 3D robot battle game series Custom Robo with Shinji Hosoe the sound producer – who previously scored the Ridge Racer series.
