Nintendo have updated the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app (known as “Nintendo Mimamori Switch in Japan) to Version 1.12.0. The update requires 37.3 MB and adds support for iOS 13 as well as implementing bug fixes.
Nintendo have announced that the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls smart device app will undergo maintenance on March 18 from 11:00〜13:00 JST (March 17 from 19:00〜21:00 PT). During maintenance, network services may be temporarily unavailable.
Nintendo Switch Parental Controls Password Input Patent
Nintendo Co., Ltd. have applied for a new “Information Processing” patent in Japan. The patent aims to solve the problem where inputting a password, for example to temporarily disable Nintendo Switch Parental Controls settings (which is used by Nintendo as an example, although the images used show Wii), can be easily identified by the child. Nintendo have updated the Nintendo Mimamori Switch (Nintendo Switch Parental Controls) app to Version 1.9.0 requiring 37.3 MB where they have “Made it possible to change VR Mode (3D visuals) restriction settings” as well as “Other small improvements have also been made”.
