Nintendo has revealed that New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe has sold 5.85 million units worldwide as of December 31, 2019. The number is the worldwide consolidated sales in units and includes the downloadable version.
The first Nintendo Switch game to be officially approved for release in China is New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe with Tencent listed as the publisher. Tencent will also likely distribute Nintendo Switch hardware in the country once fully approved. Thanks to Daniel Ahmad.
Nintendo have announced that New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe has sold 4.10 million copies worldwide as of 30 June 2019. This does not include the Wii U version. The game originally launched on 11 January 2019 and had sold 3.31 million copies as of the last financial quarter.
Nintendo have announced in-store events for Golden Week with AEON Mall Makuhari, Chiba on 29/30 April and AEON Mall Kyoto on 01/02 May with Nintendo Labo: VR Kit, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Yoshi’s Crafted World, and Pokémon: Let’s Go! Pikachu／Eevee all playable.

This week’s Media Create charts saw New Super Mario Bros. U debut at number one in Japan selling 166,303 (the Wii U original opened with 163,528). Nintendo Switch was the best-selling hardware for the 44th consecutive week with 78,056 units sold, whilst Nintendo 3DS sold 5,705 units.
