Level-5 are holding a “Let’s play at home!” campaign on the Japanese Switch eShop from April 17~May 13 with the pictured Yo-kai Watch 4++ reduced from ¥7,128 to ¥3,000, Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold reduced from ¥6,578 to ¥1,500, Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy – Deluxe Edition reduced from ¥6,578 to ¥1,500, Ni No Kuni Remastered: Wrath of the White Witch reduced from ¥6,050 to ¥1,500, and Yo-kai Watch 1 for Nintendo Switch reduced from ¥5,478 to ¥1,500.

Hino: “Our Games Keep Getting Delayed”

From this week’s issue (1623) of Weekly Famitsu; Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino says his company are going to challenge new things in 2020 and talks about development for games keep getting delayed. Pictured is Inazuma Eleven: Heroes’ Great Road which is now listed as “2020” on the game’s website but was originally set to launch to coincide with the 2018 World Cup. Level-5 Celebrates 21st Anniversary

Level-5 celebrated its 21st anniversary on 28 October with characters from several of its top series (including Yo-kai Watch, Professor Layton, and Inazuma Eleven) coming to the office to celebrate with cakes and bouquets!

Ni No Kuni Movie Announced

Warner Bros. Japan have just announced an animated Ni no Kuni movie opening this Summer in Japan. It’ll be directed by Yoshiyuki Momose, with music by Joe Hisaishi, Akihiro Hino responsible for the screenplay, and Hiroyoshi Koiwai as producer. The movie’s protagonist, Yu, will be voiced by Kento Yamazaki.
