Splatoon 2 eSports Series Returns

The NPB eSports Series Splatoon 2 will return for 2020 and will feature 12 teams consisting of four Splatoon 2 players representing 12 Nippon Professional Baseball league teams to decide the best Splatoon 2 team in Japan. The tournament will begin around late May 2020, be suspended for the Olympics, and finish around September.

Masked Cuccos Win Tokyo Smash Ball Cup

The Masked Cuccos team won today’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate National Elementary School 3v3 Smash Ball Cup tournament in Tokyo and are heading to the national finals in October. The next tournament will be Nagoya on 03 August with Sapporo, Fukuoka and Osaka to follow. Hyper Beam Defeat GGBOYZ 3-1!

The finals of the NPB eSports Series Splatoon 2 saw the Yokohama DeNA Bay Stars (Hyper Beam) score an upset and defeat Fukuoka Softbank Hawks (GGBOYZ) 3-1 at the Tokyo Big Sight to become champions. GGBOYZ previously won the 3rd and 4th Splatoon Koshien Tournaments and are the 2018 Splatoon 2 World Champions.

Nippon Professional Baseball × Splatoon 2

The Puro Yakyuu league, Nippon Professional Baseball will hold the NPB eSports Series Splatoon 2 in Spring 2019 where 12 teams (totalling 48 players) competing in the Splatoon Koshien 2019 tournament will represent 12 NPB teams. NPB will also be sponsoring Koshien 2019.
