Darius Cozmic Collection 2 Announced

Taito have announced that Darius Cozmic Collection 2 is in active development, as reports Dengeki, and is scheduled for release this Winter. The second collection is tentatively titled with neither titles nor platforms confirmed at present. The first Darius Cozmic Collection is now available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, with the Switch version recently receiving a free content update (see this post). Darius Cozmic Collection Dated on PS4

Taito have announced that the PlayStation 4 version of Darius Cozmic Collection will launch in Japan on March 5, 2020 with both an AE (Arcade Edition) and CE (Consumer Edition) releasing. The Nintendo Switch version of the Consumer Edition will also receive a free update on the same date adding the PC Engine version of Darius Plus, the SNES version of Super Nova, and the Genesis version of Sagaia. Darius Collection Adds More Games

Taito have announced a future update to the shoot ’em up compilation Darius Cozmic Collection adding three more games with the PC Engine version of Darius Plus (a port of Darius with rearranged music, lesser bosses, and bug fixes), the SNES version of Super Nova (which is the western localisation of Darius Force), and the Genesis version of Sagaia (which is the western localisation of Darius II). Darius Cozmic Collection Dated For Japan

Taito are finally publishing the digital version of the shoot ’em up compilation Darius Cozmic Collection on the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop next week (05 September) in both Normal and Consumer Editions priced at ¥5,616 and ¥7,020 respectively with both available to preload. Find out the included games at this post. The collections only support Japanese and require 85.0 MB and 63.0 MB.

Taito have announced they will finally be releasing the shoot ’em up collection Darius Cozmic Collection on the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop next month (September) priced at ¥5,616 for the regular version and ¥7,020 for the CE version. Darius Cozmic Collection Is Retail Only

It looks Taito’s upcoming Darius Cozmic Collection could be one of the very few Nintendo Switch games to be retail only. The collection releases on 28 February with standard and limited edition packaged versions both scheduled. Taito say they currently have no plans to release a download version.

The only other Japanese releases that are retail only are Xenoblade 2: Ougon no Kuni Iira and the three Nintendo Labo titles (although all three Labo games are available to purchase from the My Nintendo Store with a download code). KORG Gadget To Get Sega And Taito DLC 

DETUNE announced that KORG Gadget for Nintendo Switch will get OTORII and EBINA gadgets as DLC in early 2019. OTORII allows for classic Sega sounds and includes OutRun and After Burner music whilst EBINA allows for classic Taito sounds and includes Darius and Ninja Warriors. Many thanks to naruki.
