First Fire Emblem Game Coming West
The Famicom game Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light is being localised for the first time ever this December.
30 years ago, the original 8-bit Fire Emblem title launched on the Family Computer. The game introduced beloved characters like Marth, and the series’ signature strategic gameplay. For the first time outside of Japan, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light is coming to Nintendo Switch, fully localised on December 4th!
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light will only be available on Nintendo eShop until the end of the franchise’s 30th anniversary on March 31st, 2021. Relive the original Famicom adventure with new features like rewind, fast forward and save states and discover the origins of Marth in its first English-language localisation.
Choose from over 50 playable characters (including Marth, Tiki, Minerva, the Whitewing Sisters, and more!) and over 20 classes as you find the right strategy for each chapter of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, defend the kingdom of Talys and face off against the titular Shadow Dragon to become the hero of Archanea!
A limited-edition Fire Emblem 30th Anniversary Edition (pictured here) will also be on sale from December 4th while stocks last, coming with replica NES Game Pak art piece and game box, Mini Nintendo Power collectible, Legacy of Archanea deluxe art book, and a download code for the Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light game.
