Famicom Tantei Club Remakes Postponed
Nintendo have postponed the two Famicom Tantei Club remakes on Nintendo Switch from 2020 until 2021 to “further improve the quality”.
The original Famicom Tantei Club: Kieta Koukeisha game was originally produced by the legendary Gunpei Yokoi, and released on the Family Computer Disk System in 1988. No official localisation exists, although the game has been ported the Game Boy Advance as part of the Famicom Mini series and is also available on the Virtual Console.
The follow-up game Famicom Tantei Club Part II: Ushiro ni Tatsu Shoujo launched the following year in Japan and was also later remade for the Super Famicom. Both Switch remakes were first announced at the September 2019 Nintendo Direct (video below) and are being developed by MAGES. (ROBOTICS;NOTES series, STEINS;GATE series).
