Pro Yakyuu Famista 2020 Dated
Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced that the baseball game Pro Yakyuu Famista 2020 will release for Nintendo Switch this September.
Pro Yakyuu Famista 2020 is the latest title in the Famista (Family Stadium) series which began life back in 1986 on the Family Computer, and has since spawned almost 40 sequels including for almost every Nintendo platform. Pro Yakyuu Famista 2020 is the direct follow up to 2018’s Pro Yakyuu Famista Climax game, also for Nintendo Switch.
This latest entry releases in Japan on September 17, priced at ¥7,348 for either the physical or digital versions. The game features players from 12 professional baseball teams and also from 9 other baseball groups including from women’s leagues and overseas. The Namco Stars team boasts stars from the company’s history with Mappy, Momo, and many others.
A large single-player Famista Story mode is included which sees you battle it out against baseball loving aliens. The Famista Party mode allows you and up to three other players to connect Joy-Con and play together in 4-player local multiplayer with five mini-games included – the highlight being Snowball Battle which originally appeared in Famista 64.
Online matches are up to 2-players where you create an original player or team by selecting from a large number of parts, body shapes, and forms, and challenge you friends and rivals online!
