Friday Update:Mega Man Zero/ZX Delayed, New Yokai, Mario Kart Tour Revenue, Plus More News!

● Apologies for the late update. Travelling for most of the day! Capcom postponed the release date of the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection until 27 February to further improve the quality. The game will be playable at Jump Festa ’20 on 21-22 December.

● The “Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield!” tournament has now begun in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Check out the full list of rules, Pokémon, and stages here.

● Level-5 released several more screenshots and artworks for Yo-kai Watch 4++ including several new yokai. Check them out at this post.

● The Japanese Switch version of Dead by Daylight was updated to Version 3.3.2 update which finally added “The Archives”, plus a whole lot more.

● Chorus Worldwide revealed that Coffee Talk has gone gold (it launches on 30 January) with a demo now confirmed (before it was hinted at, but wasn’t 100%).

Tokyo 2020 Olympics The Official Video Game also saw a third demo (with Judo, 110m hurdles, and 200m individual medley all playable. Watch the character trailers for Yasuo Inoue, Shinichi Shinohara, and Takeshi Matsuda here.

● TAKUYO announced that Koi no Hanasaku Hyakkaen has a CERO B (12) rating. Check out the box art here. It launches on 30 January.

● Unsurprisingly Pokémon Sword / Shield took the top two positions in this week’s eShop charts with new entries also including Romancing SaGa 3 from Square-Enix and Nintendo’s The Stretchers. Check out the full top 10 for both Switch and 3DS here.

● Silver Star Japan announced Real Time Battle Shogi Online for Switch release in January adding an online mode to the existing game. The price will be ¥2,200 although ¥990 for the first two weeks, or ¥100 if you own the original.

Blaster Master Zero 2 will add Gunvolt’s Copen “The Adept Slayer” as a playable character in future DLC.

VASARA Collection will also see a future update adding a remapping option for the controller buttons.

● B-Side Games teased a localisation of the the 8-bit adventure game Ise Shima Mystery Annai Itsuwari no Kuro Shinju on Twitter and then deleted the Tweet. I assume the conversation has moved over to Discord.

Minecraft Dungeons is also set for Japanese release in April. Check out the trailer (the same one link to yesterday) here.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw Bree’s Boutique Cookie arrive. Check out the full list of items, special memory starring Bree and friends, and introduction video here.

Dr. Mario World has grossed just $3.6 million to date with unique installs estimated to be around 9.2 million. This is Nintendo’s least impressive mobile game since Miitomo in terms of numbers.

Dragalia Lost saw The Mercurial Gauntlet (Flame) Lv. 51 and The Mercurial Gauntlet (Flame) Lv. 55 added to The Mercurial Gauntlet. The High Zodiark’s Trial: Master quest also became available again.

Mario Kart Tour‘s next tour will be the Winter Tour (arriving 20 November). The game amassed an impressive 40.3 million downloads in October. Revenue was $31.8 million for the same period which is a good start, but far away from where Nintendo would ideally like it to be.

● This week’s Famitsu Most Wanted (post here) saw the final numbers for Pokémon Sword / Shield, with Animal Crossing: New Horizons expected to be number one from next week!

Nintendo Co., Ltd. (7974.T) stock dropped today by -510 (1.22%) in Japan to close trading for the week at 41,280.00 JPY.
