Tuesday Update:Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Tetris 99, Monster Rancher, Mr. Driller, And More News!

● The lead image is from the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate maintenance from earlier today which saw rules change for the 1-on-1 Tourneys and Smash Tourney.

● The next Teto 1 Cup (or Maximus Cup or Grand Prix depending upon region) takes place in TETRIS 99 this upcoming weekend with a Super Kirby Clash theme (pictured here) and 99 Gem Apples for scoring 100 points.

● In related news: Super Kirby Clash owners are currently unable to pick up 100 Gem Apples for use in-game from their Nintendo Switch Online membership due to some problem at Nintendo’s end. This is expected to be fixed shortly.

● We should finally find out the identity of the mystery fighting-type Pokémon for the Pokémon Sword/Shield game tomorrow at 22:00 JST (06:00 PT).

● Version 2.00 of GOD EATER 3 will be available on 19 September and includes the new “Encounters with the Past” episode, new costumes, missions, and more.

● Check out a couple of screenshots for the UNDERTALE DLC in Taiko no Tatsujin Nintendo Switch Version! (well one Switch and one PS4) here.

● The iOS and Android versions of Monster Farm (Monster Rancher) both launch on 28 November with the Switch preload expected soon on the same date. Unfortunately Koei Tecmo Games haven’t included additional language support.

● Sekai Games and Alice in Dissonance announced that fault – milestone one will release on the Nintendo Switch eShop worldwide on 03 October. Japanese trailer posted here.

● Kairosoft announced their 17th Switch title with Pocket Stable (G1 Bokujou Stakes in Japan) also releasing on 03 October in what too is expected to be worldwide. Japanese trailer posted here.

Habroxia from eastasiasoft got a firm 26 September release date and will be priced at ¥800 with preloads live from 19 September at 20% off. Japanese trailer posted here.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is once again available to preload on the Japanese Switch eShop priced at ¥6,469 and requiring 6.3 GB. Today’s peculiarity is for One-way Ticket which has been removed (it’s scheduled for release on 19 September).

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw new Fresh Fruit Goals available with some in-game prizes on offer.

Dr. Mario World will add what will likely be the 20 stages from World 7 Area 2 on 19 September.

Fire Emblem Heroes will see New Heroes: The Chosen Ones on 19 September featuring Phina: Roving Dancer, Sirius: Mysterious Knight, Norne: The Volunteer, and Nagi: Dragon Avatar. Also that day will see Forging Bonds: A Time to Shine begin featuring Nagi and Sirius from the Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem and Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem games!

Nintendo Co., Ltd. stock increased today by +290 (0.70%) in Japan to close trading for the day at 41,890.00 JPY.

Bandai Namco Entertainment applied for several video game trademarks in Japan including Mr. Driller Encore, Kaze no Klonoa Encore, Splatter House Encore, Wagan Land Encore, and Genpei Touma Den Encore.

Yuji Naka tweeted “Thank you for your birthday message. Today I’m 54 years old. How many games will I be able to make by the retirement age, including the original action game that I’m currently making at Square Enix? I’d like to work hard to develop a game that everyone around the world can enjoy”.
