Friday Update:DeNA Developing New Pokémon Mobile Game, TETRIS 99 Offline Mode DLC, Plus More News!

● DeNA announced they are working on a Pokémon game for release this fiscal year (by 31 March 2020).

TETRIS 99 updated to Version 1.3.0 today adding paid DLC (¥1,000/$9.99) with an offline modes playing against 98 CPU players as well as a high-scoring challenge mode. The third event also begins on 17 May where 100 event points will unlock a Game Boy theme.

● Nintendo opened up the Fire Emblem Fuuka Setsugetsu (Fire Emblem: Three Houses) website today.

● The Se League vs Pa League Splatfest has now begun in Japan in conjunction with the NPB eSports Series.

● The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Mum’s the Word! spirit event has also now begun. Check out the motherly spirits at this post.

● Arc System Works will update BLAZBLUE CROSS TAG BATTLE to Version 1.5 on 24 May adding Heart Ano, Naoto Kurogana, Teddie, and Seth. The game has also been permanently reduced from ¥5,800 to ¥4,104 on the Japanese Switch eShop.

● Arc System Works also updated the KILL la KILL the GAME IF website featuring an additional scenario with Ryuko Matoi.

● A GOD EATER official live broadcast will air on YouTube on 14 May at 20:00 JST with the Switch version of God Eater 3 being featured.

● Marvelous also announced a Rune Factory 4 Special livestream for YouTube on 15 May at 20:00 JST.

● Nintendo posted the latest Players Ranking with Cuphead at number one, followed by Blaster Master Zero 2, Game Dev Story, Night in the Woods, Futari de!Nyanko Daisensou, Final Fantasy VII, Moonlighter, Final Fantasy IX, Sega Ages Puyo Puyo, and Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection.

● Sega and M2 representatives told Famitsu that sales for the SEGA AGES series in Japan are half those of the 3D Classics with an uncertainty on the series future. The overseas reception has been better than expected however.

● JFi Games announced they have postponed Dusk Diver from Spring to Fall 2019.

● Add Olija to the list of games appearing at BitSummit in June, with UNTIES set to publish the game this Summer.

● Kogado Studio said that Yumeutsutsu Re:Master has gone gold. It’s due for release on 13 June.

● Check out this week’s Nintendo eShop charts for both Switch and 3DS here with Human: Fall Flat and Tobidasu!Nyanko Daisensou at number one.

Pokémon Sun Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun Moon players at the Pokémon Japan Championships 2019 on 08-09 June will receive a special Nidoqueen.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw a Grim Rosewater Cookie (full list of items and trailer here) and a new Wall & Floor Collection (full list of items here).

Dragalia Lost will see the Resplendent Refrain raid event return on 14 May with an additional difficulty.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw New Heroes: Darkness Within featuring Mareeta: The Blade’s Pawn, Berkut: Purgatorial Prince, Corrin: Wailing Soul, and Tiki: Torpid Dragon begin (trailers and artwork here) along with Forging Bonds: Power’s Den, where you can unlock a special friendship with Fjorm, Berkut, and more. The Android version also saw a bug-fixing update (yet to appear on the App Store at time of posting).

Pokémon GO is now available to download on the Samsung Galaxy App Store.

Super Mario Run saw the return of the Loads of Coins where winning at Toad Rally will earn you 1.5 times as many coins than usual.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. shares increased today by +240 (0.65%) in Japan today to close trading for the week at 37,000.00 JPY.

● Nintendo announced a Time Travel vs Teleportation Splatfest for North America and Europe for 18-19 May.

● Idea Factory announced they will publish Mary Skelter 2 on the Nintendo Switch eShop in North America and Europe, although no release date at present.

● The Kirby Café Summer opens in Japan on 11 June and reservations will be open from 15 May. Check out the updated menu and goods here.

● Nojima Online will be restocking 10 Splatoon and the Piranha Plant amiibo in August.

Gematsu report that UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late[cl-r] has been rated for Nintendo Switch in Taiwan.
