Sega Ages Sales Lacklustre In Japan
In an interview with Famitsu, Sega’s Rieko Kodama, Kagasei Shimomura, and Yosuke Okunari, and M2’s Naoki Horii talk the first year of the SEGA AGES series with the overseas reception being higher than anticipated, but sales are less than half that of 3D Classics on Nintendo 3DS in Japan. So far, eight SEGA AGES series titles have released (Alex Kidd no Miracle World, Gain Ground, OutRun, Phantasy Star, Puyo Puyo, Sonic the Hedgehog, Thunderforce IV, and Virtua Racing) with 11 more announced (Columns II, Fantasy Zone, G-LOC AIR BATTLE, Herzog Zwei, Puyo Puyo Tsu, Puzzle & Action: Ichidant-R, SHINOBI, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Space Harrier, Thunder Force AC, and Wonder Boy in Monster Land.
