Monday Update With Indie Highlights Presentation, Windjammers 2 Announced, Strix Engine For Switch, And More!

● An impromptu Indie Highlights presentation appeared online at 14:00 CEST today from Nintendo of Europe with 16 Nintendo Switch games shown. Go to this post for the full list of titles, release windows and the video presentation.
● Kakehashi Games announced they will be localising Monster Boy, The Gardens Between, Bad North, Slay the Spire and Windjammers 1 and 2 for Japan. Prison Architect is now available (see below) and Morphies Law will release in Japan after the west.

● Soft Gear announced that their STRIX ENGINE will be compatible with Nintendo Switch and is intended for ’high-speed, high-quality online game development’ and will be capable of handling large scale MMO and FPS development.
● Double Eleven published the prison simulation game Prison Architect: Nintendo Switch Edition on eShop priced at ¥3,382 with the Escape Mode DLC to follow. Trailer added here.
● Raw Fury published the roguelite Bad North on the eShop priced at ¥1,690. Trailer added here.
● The Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft looks like being the best-selling game in Japan this week with sales after nine weeks out-pacing sales of the Wii U version after nine months, according to GEO.
● The latest ARMS Party Crash event with the ‘Experimental Pop’ theme saw Lola Pop defeat Helix 55% – 45%!
● Koji Igarashi announces that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is now launching in 2019, and will no longer launch or be supported on PlayStation Vita.

● Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw the fourth Gyroidite Scavenger Hunt event begin. See full details and some of the denim items pictured here. Elise, Gaston, Kidd arrive in a few hours time.
● Fire Emblem Heroes saw two new events with Bound Hero Battle: Micaiah & Sothe, and Summoning Focus: Bound Hero Battle with Sanaki joining Micaiah & Sothe. There’ll also be a Feh Channel: Choose Your Legends 2018 Edition broadcast in a few hours with new game information.

● The European Splatfest results are in with Team Adventure winning 2-1 win over Team Relax with scores of 34.12% – 65.88%, 50.11% – 49.89% and 52.13% – 47.87% for Votes, Solo and Team respectively.
● CIRCLE Ent. announced the puzzle platformer Button Button by Centrosphere Games, is coming to Nintendo Switch with more details soon.
