Nintendo Switch Has Sold 55 Million

Nintendo have announced that the Nintendo Switch has sold 55.77 million units (including Nintendo Switch Lite at 6.19 million) since it launched on March 3, 2017. Switch software stands at 356.24 million, with the best-selling title, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, at 24.77 million.

Hulu Service Ends Early on Wii U

HJ Holdings have ended the Hulu service for Japanese Wii U consoles earlier than expected due to a playback issue that occurred on April 10 with service ending on April 30, ahead of the scheduled termination date of July 24. The company offered vouchers to subscribers who were affected by the service ending early. The app had previously been removed. The service was terminated in North America earlier in 2019 and on Nintendo 3DS in early 2017. Thanks to Cheesemeister.

Dragon Quest Ⅹ Version 5.2 Postponed

Square-Enix have announced that the Dragon Quest X Online Version 5.2 update scheduled for late April has been postponed due to the team working remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic with a delay of at least one month expected. As of right now, the May 14 release of Dragon Quest Ⅹ All In One Package version 1-5 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Windows in Japan is still on schedule. Nintendo eShop Maintenance

Nintendo have announced that Nintendo eShop maintenance will take place on March 24 from 13:30〜15:30 JST (March 23 from 21:30〜23:30 PT) affecting Nintendo Switch, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS. Please note that during maintenance, network services will not be available. There will also be maintenance for use of credit cards on the Switch eShop on March 24 from 08:00〜16:00 JST (March 23 from 16:00〜00:00 PT).

Dragon Quest Ⅹ All In One Package Version 1-5 Announced

Square-Enix have announced a physical Dragon Quest Ⅹ All In One Package version 1-5 for release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Windows on May 14, 2020, priced at ¥5,280 containing all five content packs including the most recent Ibara no Miko to Horobi no Kami. The Switch version comes with a download code inside the box. A Wii U version has confirmed to not be in production, marking the first time that the Wii U has missed an All In One Package.
