Tomodachi Life has out-sold Tomodachi Collection 

Tomodachi Collection: New Life on Nintendo 3DS has finally outsold the Nintendo DS original Tomodachi Collection. The DS game originally released on 18 June 2009 and has sold 3,692,859 in Japan alone (source). The remake arrived on 3DS on 18 April 2013 and was localised as Tomodachi Life with its western popularity helping it achieve a total of 5.70 million sales as of 31 March 2017 (source).
