Respect for the Aged Day Update with Kirby, Arcade Archives, Monster Hunter, Layers of Fear, Golf and Attack on Titan news!
● Little news today due to Respect for the Aged Day in Japan but some interesting news tidbits!
● The Japanese news website J-CAST asked Nintendo why there is no Kirby from Kirby 64 in the current General Election and received this reply: "This time, we are going to make a general election with only the basic copy capability, which will come out in Kirby Battle Deluxe! so we will not put the mixed copy that appears in Kirby 64 at this time" (source).
● In news from the 84th Arcade Archiver, the Hamster President revealed that a different development team is developing Arcade Archives Mario Bros. for Nintendo Switch than the team (Gotch Technology) who developed the Neo Geo games.
● In other Hamster news, ACA NEOGEO Ryuuko no Ken (Art of Fighting) should release on 21 September priced at the usual ¥823. Not many Neo Geo games are expected in the immediate future with the Nintendo games expected to take precedent this Fall.
● Capcom will release Monster Hunter XX Best Price! on 30 November for Nintendo 3DS (the Nintendo Switch version will not be discounted). The actual price hasn’t been confirmed.
● Aspyr Media will publish the psychedelic horror game Layers of Fear Legacy for Nintendo Switch worldwide. Check out the announcement trailer here.
● I’m sure most of you have read that the Famicom/NES Golf game is contained within the Nintendo Switch code although is -as far as I know- still hidden. We’ll do a dedicated post when found! The game’s producer was Masayuki Uemura, the designers included Shigeru Miyamoto, the programmer was Satoru Iwata and composer Koji Kondo!
● 4Gamer interviewed Koei Tecmo Games about the platforms for Attack on Titan 2 who replied that they “have not decided at the moment” and that they “want [the game] to be played by a wide range of players” (source).
● Miitomo today added the Jacquard-Woven Earmuffs, Knotted Shirt & Stripy Maxi Dress and the Polka Turn Down Trainers to the Miitomo Shop. Pictures here.
● And Fire Emblem Heroes today added a Summoning Focus featuring Klein, Effie and Hawkeye or any other Hero using Inherit Skill to gain Death Blow ability.

● There’s some new Pokémon Ultra Sun Moon artwork in a Japanese poster here with the tagline reading “An ultra adventure drawing near to the mystery of Necrozma is about to begin” (thanks GSR).
● Chris McFarland tweeted: “Item UI and modifiers starting to take shape for Tallowmere 2”. The original game released for Wii U in Japan recently.

● And COMG! pre-orders for the week have Super Mario Odyssey open with a fairly impressive 44. Metroid: Samus Returns sales started with a lukewarm 48 with Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete the best-selling game on a Nintendo platform with 50.
