Splatoon 2 × TETRIS 99 Event Details

Nintendo have posted details of the 5th Teto 1 Cup Splatoon 2 Collaboration Festival for TETRIS 99. Called Maximus Cup in North America and Grand Prix in Europe, the event runs from 12-16 July, where scoring 100 event points will net you a Splatoon 2 collaboration theme. Screenshots and video posted below.

In related news: the second paid DLC will add a Local Arena (Mochiyori Battle) mode where you can play a local match with up to 8 people, and a 2P Share Battle mode that allows you to play Joy-Con separately. Tetris 99 DLC 2 Will Add New Offline Mode

The second paid DLC of TETRIS 99 will add a new mode that lets you play offline with your family and friends. Distribution will be by 31 December 2019. No further details are known at present. Thanks to Mark M.

Edit: the DLC adds a Mochiyori Battle mode where you can play a local match with up to 8 people, and a Share Battle mode that allows you to play Joy-Con separately.

Tetris 99 × Splatoon 2 Event Announced

Nintendo have announced a Splatoon 2 Collaboration Festival event for TETRIS 99 for 96 hours from 12-16 July 2019 with Splatoon graphics in-game. Players who score 100 event points at the Maximus Cup (called “Grand Prix” in Europe and “Teto 1 Cup” in Japan will receive a Splatoon 2 collaboration theme!
