Nintendo have posted details of the 5th Teto 1 Cup Splatoon 2 Collaboration Festival for TETRIS 99. Called Maximus Cup in North America and Grand Prix in Europe, the event runs from 12-16 July, where scoring 100 event points will net you a Splatoon 2 collaboration theme. In related news: the second paid DLC will add a Local Arena (Mochiyori Battle) mode where you can play a local match with up to 8 people, and a 2P Share Battle mode that allows you to play Joy-Con separately. The second paid DLC of TETRIS 99 will add a new mode that lets you play offline with your family and friends. Distribution will be by 31 December 2019. No further details are known at present. Thanks to Mark M.

Nintendo have announced a packaged release of TETRIS 99 for Nintendo Switch on 09 August priced at ¥3,148 + tax. The package includes all additional DLC and 12 months Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
Nintendo have announced a fourth TETRIS 99 Maximus Cup event from 21-23 June (21-24 in Japan) where 999 top players will each receive 999 My Nintendo Gold Points! Please note the event is called Grand Prix in Europe and Teto 1 Cup in Japan.
Nintendo have revealed their World Hobby Fair Summer ’19 line-up which will be held in Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan on 29-30 June. Super Mario Maker 2 will be playable, alongside Luigi’s Mansion 3 (only as a pair) and TETRIS 99.
A competition for primary school students will be held for Super Mario Maker 2 with each winner receiving a sticker (pictured below) with a course creating contest (for all ages) airing over the weekend on YouTube and niconico. Nintendo have announced a Game Boy mode for the upcoming TETRIS 99 tournament, paid DLC with offline play, and more. The Game Boy theme will be in next weekend’s tournament on the game’s 35th Anniversary and can be permanently unlocked for 100 event points. ‘Customise’ has been added to today’s update allowing players to change the game’s theme.
Big Block DLC is also now available priced at ¥1,000／$9.99 and adds CPU Battle where you can play offline against 98 CPU players and Marathon which is an offline challenge mode where you must clear the most lines and score big. Nintendo Co., Ltd. President Shuntaro Furukawa reports that Nintendo Switch Online now has 9.8 million paid accounts (excluding free trial memberships) and that 2.8 million accounts have played TETRIS 99. Furukawa also says more titles are coming to Nintendo Switch Online to make it more attractive.

Nintendo have announced a second TETRIS 99 Teto 1 Cup event from 12 April at 22:00 JST until 15 April at 15:59 JST with 999 players who earn 100 event points to be selected by lottery to receive 999 My Nintendo Gold Points!
The second Maximus Cup event was also announced by Nintendo of America from 12 April at 06:00 PT until 14 April at 23:59 PT where 999 players with the most event points will each get 999 My Nintendo Gold Points!
Nintendo have updated TETRIS 99 to Version 1.2.0 where Nintendo have implemented a system that grants points based on place ranking while an event is ongoing.
