As originally discovered by Link83, SNES games are even closer to coming to Nintendo Switch Online as new FCC ID filings by Nintendo (here and here) indicate that a SNES controller will be coming to Nintendo Switch.

Columbus Circle are releasing an Extension Converter for NES in mid-April priced at ¥3,218 ($29) that allows you to play overseas NES games on a Super Famicom. Players that own a 16bit Pocket HDMI console (pictured below) can then use a HDMI lead to play NES games in high definition on their TV. An AV lead is supplied to use with a traditional Super Famicom console. More pictures added below…

Bandai Namco Entertainment will publish the Super Famicom game Super Gachapon World: SD Gundam X on the Nintendo Switch eShop in Japan this week (06 December) priced at ¥916. Several Japanese retailers including Amazon have listed a Nintendo Classic Mini Double Pack for release on 15 September 2018 priced at ¥15,077 including both Classic Mini variations of the Family Computer and Super Famicom, and a Nintendo USB AC adapter. Expect an official announcement shortly from Nintendo.

Taito are working on The Ninja Warriors AGAIN for Nintendo Switch, which is a remake of the Super Famicom game of the same name, which itself was a remake of the arcade original, which was also later ported to PC Engine, Mega CD and home computers. The Switch game is due for release in 2019 with the Tengo Project strongly rumoured to be the development team. More news as we have it! Bandai Namco Entertainment will release Dragon Ball FighterZ for Nintendo Switch on 27 September 2018 priced at ¥7,344. The Switch version will not include all the previous DLC but includes a download code for the Super Famicom game Dragon Ball Z: Super Butouden.
Other early purchase benefits include the playable characters Goku and Vegeta (SSGSS) and a Super Rare card for the arcade game Super Dragon Ball Heroes. The Switch version also adds “Extreme Type” so players can unleash special moves with ease. Switch trailer added below…
Tommo have announced two more licensed Super Famicom reissues for Japan with Shodai Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun releasing on 28 June 2018 and Return of Double Dragon (Super Double Dragon) releasing on 12 July 2018 with both titles priced at ￥6,458 each.
Columbus Circle have announced that their 16bit Pocket HDMI console will release on 20 April priced at ¥17,064 ($158). The system imitates the Nintendo Switch in that it allows players to play Super Famicom cartridges in TV, Tabletop or Handheld modes. The system comes with a 7" screen, two controllers, AC Adapter, HDMI lead, and can also play SNES cartridges (PAL and NTSC regions).
