Game Freak Want To Surprise Players In 2019

In Weekly Famitsu Issue No.1570, Game Freak posted the above New Year’s card with Shigeru Ohmori saying that Game Freak will continue to challenge players in 2019 and that they would like to “surprise everyone”. Buy a physical copy of Weekly Famitsu here and see all 52 New Year’s cards!

Pokémon Let’s Go Beats Persona Q2!

This week’s Media Create charts saw Pocket Monsters: Let’s Go! Pikachu／Eevee sell a further 94,753 in Japan (totalling 918,459) beating Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth (which sold 79,747) to retain the top spot. Nintendo Switch was the best-selling hardware for the 38th consecutive week with 120,546 units sold, whilst Nintendo 3DS sold 10,435.

Pokémon Spirits Coming To Smash

From 14 December, if you have play data of Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu／Eevee on your Nintendo Switch, you’ll automatically unlock a Partner Pikachu or Partner Eevee Spirit for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (corresponding to which version of the game you have)! Both will also be added to the game at a future date by completing challenges.
