Pokémon Switch Bundle Announced 

There will be a limited edition Nintendo Switch hardware bundle on 16 November containing a Nintendo Switch Pikachu & Eevee Edition system, the Poké Ball Plus accessory, a pre-installed version of either Pokémon Let’s Go! Pikachu or Eeevee and a 90-day subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service for ¥41,018! Hardware trailer added below alongside new gameplay trailers.

Classic Controllers Announced 

HORI have announced three designs in its new Classic Controller for Nintendo Switch range featuring Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda and Pikachu. All three are officially licensed wired USB controllers, and release in October priced at ¥3,218 apiece. Pictures added below…

Pokémon GO Second Anniversary

Pokémon GO is about to celebrate its second anniversary with Pikachu and Pichu spawning more frequently from 06 – 31 July including a “Summer Style” Pikachu, decked out in straw hat and sunglasses. Pikachu Fan Avatar items will also be available for purchase.

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu And Eeevee Are Official! 

“Return to the Kanto region and experience a classic Pokémon journey in a whole new way with Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! on the Nintendo Switch! Coming November 16, 2018″

The games are both based on Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition. A special Poké Ball Plus controller (pictured here) was also announced. The game will be able to connect with Pokémon GO via Bluetooth, however, there will only be local multiplayer and no online battles. Two-player cooperative play is possible. New Pokémon Domains Registered 

Domain names for both Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu (pokemonletsgopikachu.com) and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee (pokemonletsgoeevee.com) were registered yesterday by the same company that Nintendo used to register the official Pokémon Sun Moon website domain name. Detective Pikachu Demo In Early March 

The Pokémon Company have announced that their will be a demo for Meitantei Pikachu: Shin Combi Tanjou on the Japanese 3DS eShop in early March with save data transferable over to the full game. ● Pocket announced Hifumi no Shogi Dojo (tentative name) for Switch releasing at retail this year and featuring the retired Japanese professional shogi player Hifumi Kato who has previously starred in games for Super Famicom, PlayStation and Game Boy Color!

● Hamster will publish ACA NEOGEO Shin Samurai Spirits: Haohmaru Jigokuhen (Samurai Shodown II) on the Switch eShop next week (1 February 2018) priced at ¥823. Check out the trailer here.

● D-Pad Studio confirmed that Owl Boy will also release in Japan on 13 February. Unsure of the price.

● Wobbly Tooth tweeted that Battleminerz is at number one on the Japanese 3DS eShop.

Pokémon GO will see 23 additional Pokémon originally from the Hoenn region in Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire later today.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw new quests targeted at the high-difficulty maps of Chain Challenge and Squad Assault where players can earn Orbs and Stamina Potions. 

Super Mario Run has been updated to Version 3.0.8 adding a skip button to the opening tutorial.

● Rock Pocket Games announced that their puzzle platformer Shiftlings Enhanced Edition is coming to the Switch eShop on 1 February.

● Team 17 announced their 3D sandbox RPG adventure My Time at Portia will come to Switch in 2018.

● Camel 101 announced the horror game Those Who Remain will also come to Switch In 2018.

● The developer of the cult smartphone/PS4 game Downwell Ojiro “Moppin” Fumoto announced that he has joined Nintendo.

Integral will release a 512GB microSDXC Card in February that will be compatible with Switch. The previous highest capacity was 400GB.

Detective Pikachu releasing worldwide 

Along with the new Detective Pikachu amiibo, The Pokémon Company have announced a retail version of the 3DS game simply called Meitantei Pikachu also releasing on 23 March 2018 and priced at ¥5,378. Players who have downloaded both versions can save ¥1,500. The early purchase benefit of the retail version will be this keyring whilst the digital version will be a theme.
