Picross S4 Announced For Switch

Jupiter have announced that Picross S4 will be coming to Nintendo Switch next week (April 23, 2020) priced at ¥1,000, and with preloads now live. Picross S4 requires 168 MB, supports multiple languages including English, and features four game modes – “Picross”, “Mega Picross”, “Color Picross” and “Clip Picross”. In addition, “Extra” allows you to use play data of “Picross S”, “Picross S2”, and “Picross S3”. Japanese trailer added below. Edit: worldwide launch confirmed and demo also available!

Jupiter Set to Announce New game

Picross developers Jupiter will have a new game announcement tomorrow (February 28) with the above illustration from the development team said to be a hint. We’ll keep you posted on whatever the announcement will be! Edit: the game has been revealed to be Working Zombies (see this post for details).

New Picross Trademark UPDATE

Nintendo Co., Ltd. have applied for a new trademark (商願２０１９－１３３０１３) in Japan for PICROSS for purposes including video game program, downloadable video game program, smartphone program, greeting cards, comic books, posters, stickers, and more. Picross 3D: Round 2 released for 3DS in 2015 in Japan (2016 overseas) with the original Picross 3D releasing for DS in 2009/2010. Update: actual application added below thanks to J-PlatPat.

Picross Lord of the Nazarick Announced

Jupiter have announced a collaboration game between the puzzle series Picross and the Overlord anime and manga series with Picross Lord of the Nazarick scheduled for release on the Japanese Switch eShop next week (25 July) priced at ¥1,080 with preloads and a demo live from this week (18 July). Jupiter will publish the puzzle game Picross S3 on the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop next week (25 April) priced at ¥1,000.
