Nintendo projector patented and NX reportedly enters trial production

From today’s Daily News Update but own post worthy are a new Nintendo patent for a Projection System that displays flat images on an uneven surface (source). The other tidbit comes from Digitimes who report that Foxconn have undertaken trial production of the Nintendo NX and that annual production is estimated at 9.5-10 million units (source). As with all similar stories, patents and finished products aren’t always the same thing, and the NX story comes from Digitimes and not an official source.

Pokémon Company confirms games for NX

President of The Pokémon Company, Tsunekazu Ishihara was interviewed in The Wall Street Journal by Takashi Mochizuki and confirmed “We will make games for the NX.” On the system itself he said “The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a hand-held device.”

Dragon Quest X confirmed for NX

In this week’s Weekly Famitsu magazine, Yosuke Saito (DQX producer) and Chikara Saito (DQX director) again confirmed that Dragon Quest X is in development for Nintendo NX and that Version 4 of the game is coming soon. Scan below and thanks to Dualshockers!
