Nintendo Direct E3 2019 Announced

Nintendo have announced a Nintendo Direct E3 2019 for 11 June at 9:00 PT and which will focus entirely on Nintendo Switch games scheduled to launch in 2019. 

A Nintendo Treehouse: Live was announced for between 11-13 June.

Previously announced were both the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate World Championship 2019 3v3 and Splatoon 2 World Championship 2019 for 08 June.

Global times for the Nintendo Direct presentation are 09:00 PT, 12:00 ET, 17:00 BST, 18:00 CET, and 01:00 JST.

The Pokémon Direct Post

Welcome to the Pokémon Direct thread where I’ll be live-blogging the Japanese feed. You can watch it live on YouTube and niconico. All we know is that the Direct will be approximately seven minutes in length and feature new information. Global times are 06:00 PT, 09:00 ET, 14:00 GMT, 15:00 CET, and 23:00 JST. More follows.

● It begins! Tsunekazu Ishihara presenting. OMG! Gen 8! Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. Takes place in the Galar region. Three starters are Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. Releases simultaneously worldwide in late 2019. End.

Welcome to the Nintendo Direct thread where I’ll attempt to report on the Japanese Direct in timely fashion! You can watch it live on YouTube or niconico.

The presentation will be 35 minutes in length and will feature upcoming Nintendo Switch games including Fire Emblem: Three Houses (no smartphone titles).

Super Mario World! It’s actually Super Mario Maker 2! June 2019 release (no exact date). Yoshiaki Koizumi is here.

MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order releases in Summer 2019.

Hako Boy! & Hako Girl! (Box Boy x Box Girl) announced for 26 April release on the eShop.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will see simultaneous play after the Direct. New paid DLC on 14 March.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 3 announced for Spring. Joker arrives in April.

Doraemon Nobita no Bokujou Monogatari announced. Doraemon meets Story of Seasons. Published by Bandai Namco and developed by Brownies. 2019 release.

Rune Factory 4 Special releases on 25 July. Rune Factory 5 is also announced. Releases in 2020.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night releases this Summer.

Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete S releases this Fall. Includes the 2D 3DS version as well as the PS4 version and new content.

Disney Tsum Tsum Festival announced for 2019 release. Published by Bandai Namco.

Dragon Quest Rivals releases after the Direct. Basic play free. Popular mobile game and cross-play confirmed.

● New Square Enix JRPG ONINAKI from Lost Sphear and I Am Setsuna developers, Tokyo RPG Factory. Summer 2019 release.

Yoshi’s Craft World demo available after the Direct.

Fire Emblem: Fuuka Setsugetsu (Three Houses) releases worldwide on 26 July. Limited edition announced. Co-developed with Koei Tecmo.

TETRIS 99 announced. Available straight after the Direct. Free for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.

● Konami announce Jikkyuu Powerful Pro Yakyuu for 2019 release.

● From the UNDERTALE developer comes DELTARUNE. Chapter 1 free on 28 February.

DAEMON X MACHINA Prototype Orders demo also straight after the Direct. Full game this Summer.

● Square-Enix will release Final Fantasy IX straight after the Direct. ¥2,500.

● Platinum Games announce the action game ASTRAL CHAIN for 30 August release. Switch exclusive. Limited edition announced too.

● And Nintendo announce Zelda no Densetsu: Yume o Miru Shima (The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening) remake for 2019 release on Nintendo Switch! And end!
