McDonald’s Japan will be receiving Super Mario themed Happy Meal toys from 6 January 2017 with 12 different toys to collect although tragically no Toad. More pictures below…

Hardly breaking news (they started yesterday) and not directly Nintendo related (although the character in question has starred in two 3DS games) but a series of fantastic Funassyi toys have replaced Yokai Watch Data Carddass cards and are free with McDonald’s Happy Meals in Japan. A set of six Yokai Watch Cards for use in the arcade Data Carddass game Yokai Watch: Ukiukipedia Dream are coming to Japanese McDonald’s from 2 September for approximately a month. Female Happy Meal consumers (that’s Japanese executives re-enforcing gender stereotype, not me!) will have a set of six PriPara cards to collect. Currently in McDonalds are a set of Yokai Watch toys pictured here!
