Thursday Update with Fire Emblem released, Cars 3 announced, Link and Kirby in Taiko plus more news!
● Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (3DS), Minna de Wai Wai! Spelunker (Switch), Pro Yakyuu Famista Climax (3DS) and ACA NEOGEO Fatal Fury (Switch eShop) are all now available in Japan.
● Cars 3: Driven to Win is coming to Japan (Switch, not Wii U) on 20 July as Cars 3: Way to Victory for ¥6,156 (retail) and ¥5,616 (digital) courtesy of Warner Bros. Japan.
● Taiko no Tatsujin Yellow Ver. (Arcade) will add The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Medley with Link skin and a Hoshi no Kirby Medley with both Kirby and Meta Knight skins next week.
● Soldam Bloom Declaration is the official English name for Soldam: Mu Kaika Sengen which updated to Version 1.1 this morning supporting several languages and adding a new BGM and level select mode.
● Genkai! Yamazumi Battle will receive a demo on the Japanese 3DS eShop next week (26 April) courtesy of Starsign. The game is a toy stacking puzzler btw and New Nintendo 3DS only.
● Super Bomberman R will receive an update (Version 1.3) this morning adding a new stage, adjusting the difficulty and other improvement. There’s a set of 40 LINE stickers released today too!
● There are also two new Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia themes priced at ¥200 apiece featuring Alm in one and Celica in the other.
● The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is having an amiibo teased by Nicalis, Inc. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is available on Japanese 3DS and Wii U btw but Afterbirth+ hasn’t been localised yet.
● Kamiko will see a soundtrack CD release next weekk (27 April) with 12 tracks priced at ¥2,160 by Misoka of Pansound who also recorded the Witch & Hero II soundtrack.
● Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete will add a Skill Panel feature somewhat resembling the Final Fantasy XII License Board and is a character growth system using Skill Points obtained from levelling up.
● Fire Emblem Heroes added a new Grand Hero Battle and Summoning Focus with King Zephiel running until 24 April.
● And Collectible Badge Center will be updated shortly. I’ll try and be timely with the update but it may be slightly late.
