Switch Shipments Will Continue in Europe & Americas
Despite temporarily suspending domestic shipments of the Nintendo Switch console (see this post), shipments will continue in Europe and the Americas, according to Nikkei, as there’s still enough stock for the West. Production has been delayed due to the coronavirus. Production at factories in China and Vietnam has returned to a certain level, although it has not fully recovered. After this year’s event was cancelled just last month, Entertainment Software Association have announced that E3 2021 will take place June 15～17, 2021, if all goes to plan. ESA say next year’s event will be “reimagined”. There’s no more word on whether there will still be an online event this year to replace the actual event. In related news: IGN have announced a digital event for June this year in cahoots with Square Enix, Sega, Bandai Namco, Amazon, Google, Twitter, Devolver Digital, and THQ Nordic.
