● Mario & Luigi developers AlphaDream Corporation, Ltd. have filed for bankruptcy. Their last console game Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey was a commercial failure, although that was due mostly to platform. AlphaDream Enter Bankruptcy

Mario & Luigi developers AlphaDream Corporation, Ltd. have entered bankruptcy proceedings with the Tokyo District Court from 01 October 2019. The company founded in 1991 and became a videogame developer from 2000 as Alpha Star and later AlphaDream. Company turnover was as high as ¥300m ($2.78m) in March 2014 but the company’s debts were as much as ¥465m ($4.3m) by March 2018. AlphaDream’s most recent two releases were Kedama no Gonjiro: Fit & Run for smartphones and Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey for Nintendo 3DS. Thanks to Naruki. Source: Yahoo.
