Amzy have announced the cancellation of Tobe！Dragon (Fly! Dragon) which was first announced by the company back in 2015 for release originally in the Winter of that year. Square-Enix have removed Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 from the Japanese 3DS eShop with immediate effect. Both Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 Special Trial Version and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 Professional are still available. Kadokawa Games are removing the horse-riding simulation game Derby Stallion GOLD from the Japanese 3DS eShop on 25 September at 00:00 JST. The demo version will also be removed. No reason was given for the removal. You can still buy the physical version here – use the code JPNINTENDO for 5% off. Game Addict announced a Nintendo Switch version of Derby Stallion in January 2017, although nothing has been heard since.
Nintendo are warning its customers that many Nintendo eShop games will increase in price in Japan from 01 October 2019 at 00:00 due to the country’s consumption tax increase from 8% to 10%. If you commit to purchase before 23:59:59 JST on 30 September, then you will pay the game’s original price. This will affect Nintendo Switch, 3DS, and Wii U software, with packaged versions likely adjusting their price accordingly. Not all games will increase in price and Nintendo warn buyers that many eShop videos may not reflect the actual price as of 01 October. Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions will also increase (see this post for more).
Bandai Namco Entertainment have removed the Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan／The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. game Saiki Kusuo no Sainan Shijou Saidai no Saina from the Japanese 3DS eShop with immediate effect. The trial version has also been removed. No reason was given for the removal, but it is expected to be due to licensing reasons.
