Nintendo’s Release Calendar Updated

Nintendo have updated the release calendar for upcoming Nintendo Switch software with Mario, Zelda, Bayonetta, Metroid, and more!

The current Nintendo Switch first party release schedule sees the Japanese-only Buddy Mission BOND (releasing January 29th) and the worldwide Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury (releasing February 12th) as the only games that presently have a definitive release date. The Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo also both release alongside the enhanced version of Super Mario 3D World.

Both Famicom Tantei Club games (Kieta Koukeisha and Ushiro ni Tatsu Shoujo) are now listed as “2021” release in Japan (neither title is listed in the English release calendar) after their recent postponement. The Banjo & Kazooie, Terry, and Byleth amiibo are also all listed for release next year. The Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. system also releases worldwide next week.

First party games which are still listed as “TBA” include Bayonetta 3 (which is being developed by PlatinumGames), Metroid Prime 4 (which is being developed by Retro Studios), New Pokémon Snap (which is being developed by Bandai Namco Studios, and will be published by The Pokémon Company), and the long-awaited unnamed follow-up to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Nintendo are also publishing Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity (November 20th), Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise (December 4th), and Bravely Default II (February 26th) for Nintendo Switch in the west, although the titles will be published by Koei Tecmo Games, Imagineer, and Square-Enix respectively in Japan.
