Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity

The Direct started with more details from the upcoming release of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity which saw the game’s third full trailer and the reveal that Divine Beasts will be playable in the game. Rune Factory 5

Rune Factory 5

Next up was Rune Factory 5 with a trailer for the latest-entry in the series, revealing many of the game’s characters, a release date for Japan (May 20th), and a limited edition Premium Box (pictured here). Rune Factory 4 Special was also revealed as the next Nintendo Switch Online trial title in the dedicated post here.

Immortals Fenyx Rising

The former Gods & Monsters has its release date edging ever closer with Immortals Fenyx Rising set to release worldwide on December 3rd. The game sees you play as the winged demigod, Fenyx, on a quest to defeat the the deadly Titan, Typhon, and save the Greek gods from a dark curse. Check out the trailer here.

A-Ressha de Ikou Hajimaru Kankou Keikaku

A-Ressha de Ikou Hajimaru Kankou Keikaku

Over 35 years after the first Let’s Take the A-Train title released on the Famicom, A-Ressha de Ikou Hajimaru Kankou Keikaku will be coming to Nintendo Switch. The series has come a long way since the 8-bit era, with players now able to create, publish, and download maps online. Check out our dedicated post here.

Bravely Default II

Although not technically releasing in 2020, Square-Enix’s upcoming JRPG Bravely Default II is starting to look extremely polished and it finally has a release date (February 26th). Jobs revealed include Vanguard, the White Mage, the Bard, the Beastmaster, and the Gambler. Check out the dedicated post here.

No More Heroes III

No More Heroes III

With the game recently delayed into 2021, we finally got a new trailer for No More Heroes III, furthermore, the first two titles in the series, No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, originally on the Wii, both released on the Switch eShop after the Direct. Nintendo Switch Software Line-up

The usual montage showcased a number of games including Shin Megami Tensei III NOCTURNE HD REMASTER, Derby Stallion, Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate, Family Trainer, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers, and Control Ultimate Edition – Cloud Version (read about that here).

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town

After the Dorameon spin-off and the Friends of Mineral Town remake, an all new game in the Story of Seasons was announced for Nintendo Switch with Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, which launches on February 25th in Japan and March 26th in the rest of the world. Part Time UFO

Part Time UFO

The penultimate title was a port of HAL Laboratory’s excellent whacky smartphone game Part Time UFO to the Nintendo Switch eShop. The game involves a cute UFO who crashes onto earth and now finds himself doing part-time work. There’s even a Kirby cameo! Check it out now and read our dedicated post here.

Buddy Mission BOND

Hot on the heels of Age of Calamity Nintendo are teaming up with Koei Tecmo Games once again for a (as of now) Japanese exclusive in Buddy Mission BOND. The detective adventure game features designs by Yusuke Murata (One Punch Man) and comes to Switch in January. Check out our dedicated post here. And end!
