Touki Denshou Coming to Switch
Hamster have announced Tecmo’s 2D fighting game Touki Denshou: Angel Eyes for Nintendo Switch as part of the Arcade Archives series.
The fighting game was announced at the 267th Arcade Archiver video presentation earlier today along with a mystery title revealed as 〇〇〇ー (which may be either the 1982 title Swimmer when Tecmo were known as Tehkan or what became the company’s first console title in 1984 with Guzzler).
Touki Denshou: Angel Eyes is an all-female fighting game that preceded the release of Dead or Alive by several months, launching in Japanese arcades in June 1996 before being ported to the PlayStation One in December 1997, which added several alternate characters exclusive to the release.
Eight playable characters are included with the arcade version with Raiya, Reika, Highway Star, Kiriko, Lina, Marie & King, Chibiko, Mysterious Power, and the unplayable final boss character Angel. All of the characters are either hand-drawn sprites or pre-rendered 3D models.
