Balloon Boy (or Tamiku as it is also known) is a retro balloon bursting action platform game featuring 8 worlds and 16 phases that is coming to the Switch eShop on September 18, priced at ¥500. The game takes place in a distant galaxy where you have to defeat an evil alien obsessed with blow-up balloons! Japanese trailer here.
Children of Morta
The action-RPG Children of Morta is finally getting its Japanese release on December 17, priced at ¥4,378 for either the physical or digital version. The game features 7 playable characters, local co-op (with online co-op to be added at a later date), and multiple dungeons for you to encounter. Check out the Japanese trailer here.
The popular RPG Cresteaju has been around since the early days of the internet and now sees a remastered HD version on Nintendo Switch with improved graphics and additional scenario updates. The game launches as a digital only release on September 17 courtesy of PLiCy, priced at ¥3,000. Check out the trailer here.
DAEMON X MACHINA
To commemorate the first anniversary of DAEMON X MACHINA, Marvelous will deliver a large-scale free update (Ver. 1.4.0) in November which adds new bosses, new equipment, and more. The game is also currently 50% off (¥4,290) for the rest of the month on the Japanese Switch eShop with all DLC discounted too.
GameTomo will finally be releasing the shape shifting adventure game Lost Ember on the Switch eShop on September 24, priced at ¥2,990 / $29.99. The game sees players discover the remnants of a lost civilisation through the eyes of various animals by flying, swimming, digging, and running! Check out the Japanese trailer here.
Super Soccer Blast
The arcade-style football game Super Soccer Blast gets a Japanese release on September 17 for ¥1,000. The game is inspired by the SNES classic International Superstar Soccer and features full team customisation plus various game modes including the World Tour mode where you aim for the top. Team17’s sandbox adventure game The Survivalists was recently revealed to be getting a Japanese physical release on October 29 courtesy of Game Source Entertainment. A digital release will precede the retail (October 9) where it will be priced at ¥2,750. A demo is also now available. Check out the Japanese trailer here.
The formerly titled Octonaut is finally available on the eShop for ¥560 (regular price ¥700) under the new name of Takotan (the previous name was too similar to a cartoon series). The game is a retro shoot ’em up inspired by the classics of the Super Famicom, Mega Drive, and PC Engine era. Check out the trailer here.
The old-school platform adventure game Witcheye is now available on the Japanese Switch eShop for ¥440 (regular price ¥550) and features more than 50 levels, over 100 enemies, mini-bosses, and bosses, unlockable bonus modes and challenges, including a hard mode, and over 30 tracks. The old-school arena shooter Xeno Crisis is a classic 2D top-down run-and-gun game, perfectly ported from Mega Drive, and coming with added extras, two difficulty levels, and three modes of play.
