Monster Farm 2 Coming to Switch
Koei Tecmo Games have announced that Monster Farm 2 (Monster Rancher 2) will be coming to Nintendo Switch and smartphones this Fall.
Monster Farm 2 originally released for PlayStation One back in 1999 as a sequel to the original Monster Farm life simulation RPG that involves raising, fighting, and breeding monsters, with over 400 monsters included in the game. A western localisation (as Monster Rancher 2) was released in 1999 in North America and the following year in Europe. PocketStation Mini games will be included along with stone regeneration, and there will be improvements made to the first game which was ported to Nintendo Switch and smartphones late last year.
Koei Tecmo Games have stated that the official webpage will open shortly with the first information in this week’s issue (No. 1649) of Weekly Famitsu magazine, which is scheduled to be released on July 9 in Japan. Pre-order a physical copy of the magazine (with Identity V cover) at this link or purchase it digitally via Book Walker. Monster Farm 2 will release this Fall in Japan for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. A localisation has yet to be confirmed.
