Nintendo Switch Online Games Announced
The next Nintendo Switch Online games arrive on May 20 with the boxing game Super Punch-Out!!, the puzzle game Panel de Pon, the platform game Argus no Senshi (Rygar), and the run-and-gun game Rough World (Journey to Silius).
Super Punch-Out!! (Nintendo)
Featuring the tight game play and humor the series is known for, this sequel to the NES classic sees Little Mac return to the ring with the World Video Boxing Association belt once again at stake. Slug your way through the grueling, sweat-pounding matches of the Minor, Major, and World Circuits as you face off against some of Little Mac’s greatest rivals like Bear Hugger, Bald Bull, and Super Macho Man. With a cast of new challengers waiting, do you have what it takes to identify their unique patterns and exploit their weaknesses? Go to your corner and come out fighting, but remember what Doc Louis would say, “It’s not about brawling—it’s about finesse!”

As the stack of puzzle pieces rises, think fast to match panels and set off cascading chain reactions and combos. You’ll have to make strategic choices quickly to counteract the relentless competitor attacks from above. A selection of single-player and two-player modes and options provides escalating action and zippy fun. This title originally launched for the Super Famicom in 1995, and was originally localised as Tetris Attack on the SNES.
Argus no Senshi (Koei Tecmo Games)
An old legend proclaimed, “When the peaceful land is covered with evil spirits, a brave soldier will be brought to life from the dead.” Luckily, Rygar, the mythical hero from Argus, has arrived in order to defeat the evil king Ligar and his army of dangerous beasts. Join forces with Rygar for a hybrid action-adventure game with a distinct blend of platforming and role-playing elements!
Rough World (Sunsoft)
Rough World is a side-scrolling run-and-gun game from Sunset which was was originally based on the 1984 film The Terminator, but the graphics and storyline were changed during development when the licensing rights were lost. Join Jay on his run and gun mission to take down the mechanical army responsible for his father’s death. Defeat endless waves of attack robots and fulfill his father’s dream of developing a space colony in the Silius Solar System. Rough World is known as Journey to Silius in the west after its 1990 localisation on the NES.
