Tuesday Update:Pokémon Game Gym Trademark, Plus More News!

● Nintendo, Creatures, and Game Freak have applied for a new Pokémon Game Gym trademark in Japan. Check out the actual application at this post.

● In an update to our lead story from yesterday: VentureBeat are reporting a Super Mario All-Stars-style 3D game collection which would include Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2. The new Paper Mario is also reportedly a return to the N64 and GameCube style.

● Nippon Columbia revealed that a new Wan Nyan Doubutsu Byouin (Wan Nyan Animal Hospital) game will release in July. No platform was revealed, but we’re confidently putting the story in the Switch section!

● Taito announced an upcoming free update to Bubble Bobble 4 Friends adding new stages and Baron von Blubba.

● M2 announced that the “Alice Powerup Patch” for ESP Ra.De.Ψ has been postponed until late April. Read the planned update contents here.

● The friends of Ringo Ishikawa publishers CIRCLE Ent. and developers yeo are also releasing the 2D indie RPG shooting game Arrest of a stone Buddha for Nintendo Switch in Japan.

● CFK updated the Switch version of Princess Maker -Faery Tales Come True- to Version 1.0.5 with several bug fixes and adjustments detailed in the patch notes here.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw Katie’s Sakura Festival garden event (see our huge dedicated post here), the Sakura Picnic in the Park seasonal event, the Sakura Hakama Collection, and Pop Quiz: Sakura Season added to Happy Homeroom.

Dr. Mario World will undergo maintenance on April 2 which will add new characters, worlds, and events to the game.

Dragalia Lost is updating to Version 1.18.2 around now. The game also saw the Scars of the Syndicate raid event begin along with a sixth mana circle, the mana spiral, added to Vice, Erik, and Althemia.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw a special 8-bit episode of Feh Channel here with Special Maps and Log-In Bonuses tomorrow could get you 8-bit Alfonse, Sharena, Anna, Owl, and Chief. Today saw Mythic Hero Bramimond: The Enigma from Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade arrive for a new Summoning Event and Battle.

Weekly Famitsu review scores this week included One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 with 36/40, Remothered with 31/40, Silent World with 22/40, Mekorama with 30/40, HyperParasite with 30/40, and MazM: Jekyll&Hyde with 24/40. ● Japan’s My Nintendo Store has now sold out of all four Nintendo Switch Lite colours.

● Nintendo postponed this weekend’s 5th Splatoon Koshien Spring Online Tournament “Representative Tournament” due to the coronavirus.

● Akihibara’s Flyhigh Café has now permanently closed, as revealed by publisher Flyhigh Works. The closure was previously announced as being temporary.

● More game related impact from the coronavirus included a short delay of the BigMore! Pokémon Extra Large Cubone Plushie until May 8. Pre-order here.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. (7974.T) stock increased again today by +680 (1.66%) in Japan to close trading for the day at 41,610.00 JPY.
