Monday Update:Flipnote Studio And Multiple Mario Rumours, Plus More News!

● I don’t normally like posting rumours but a couple of noteworthy ones from the past couple of days with the first being a Flipnote Studio Switch version (thanks to Kody and Source Gaming). The other is from multiple outlets and includes a new Paper Mario, remasters of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy, and a deluxe version of Super Mario 3D World.

● Electronic Arts confirmed that Burnout Paradise Remastered will also be releasing for Switch in Japan later this year. Official trailer posted here.

● Yunuo Games tweeted that the Switch version of the robot battle game Synaptic Drive has gone gold and is set for worldwide release on May 28.

● Square-Enix opened up the user survey for the Bravely Default Demo Ver. similarly to how they did with Octopath Traveler.

● Behaviour Interactive updated the horror game Dead by Daylight to Version 3.6.2 on Switch in Japan with the full patch notes posted here.

● Gameloft have released Asphalt 9:Legends – High Gear Bundle on the Japanese Switch eShop priced at ¥3,600. Check out this week’s current Japanese Switch line-up for the week at this post.

● Cross Function will be removing the 3D adventure RPG Earthlock from the PlayStation Store in Japan on March 31 and the Nintendo Switch eShop on April 8.

Dragalia Lost will see the Scars of the Syndicate raid event begin tomorrow along with a sixth mana circle, the mana spiral, added to Vice, Erik, and Althemia. Players also received Blessed Ethon Ashes x10 and Amplifying Crystal x100 today.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw Grand Hero Battle Revival – Death Knight: The Reaper and Special Heroes Revival: Spring Festival with Xander, Chrom, Lucina, and Camilla. The game will also see the Mythic Hero Bramimond: The Enigma from Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade arrive tomorrow. Introduction video posted here.

● Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ second week scored a massive 731 pts with COMG!. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is second and third with 71 pts on PS4 and 68 pts on Switch. The same top three with TSUTAYA and with GEO. However, multiple reports of Nintendo Switch Lite shortages across Japan. There is no official word from Nintendo so it’s not known how much sales will be affected and for how long.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. (7974.T) stock increased again today by +530 (1.31%) in Japan to close trading for the day at 40,930.00 JPY.

COLOPL, Inc. announced they have acquired MAGES.inc., and purchased all of the company’s 260 shares for ¥1.612 billion (approximately $14.92) with the takeover being finalised on April 3.

● Square-Enix announced limited edition Trials of Mana Switch and PS4 consoles for at least a competition (no word on a retail release at present). Check out how they look here.

● Episode 0 of the new Ninjala CGI series entitled “Ninja-Gum is Born” here.

● The opening movie for Joushi to Himitsu no 2LDK (Our Two Bedroom Story) here which has also been confirmed for western release on May 7.

● Four lost of Dandy Dungeon – Legend of Brave Yamada – collaboration videos with Nobuo Uematsu, ZUN (Touhou Project), Basic’n, and Thelonious Monkees here.

● And a trio of Taiko no Tatsujin Nintendo Switch Version! instructional gameplay videos here featuring the trio of Yomii, Yosuga, and Goniha.
