● The next DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was announced as Byleth with Mii Fighter costumes including Assassin’s Creed, Rabbids, Mega Man, and Cuphead. The second Fighter’s Pass will feature six new fighters.

● From the Monday Update: Super Nintendo World news was announced for the following day, a Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet COMPLETE EDITION demo was announced for early February, and Pokémon Sword / Shield surpassed the three million sales mark at retail in Japan.

● From the Tuesday Update: A February event in New York will reveal the Super Nintendo World opening date, a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate livestream was announced for Thursday, miHoYo announced that Genshin Impact will be coming to Switch, and Fire Emblem Musou will be free for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers from 20-26 January.

● From the Wednesday Update: SEGA AGES Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will add Knuckles the Enchidna to the game, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore will see collaborations with Persona 5, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Etrian Odyssey Nexus, and Shin Megami Tensei DEEP STRANGE JOURNEY, and Spirit Hunter: NG releases in Japan on 28 May.

● From the Thursday Update: Masahiro Sakurai relived the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation, the Fire Emblem: Three Houses Wave 4 DLC “Cindered Shadows” arrives on 13 February, Taito announced Touhou Spell Bubble for the Switch eShop, Regista announced Murasama no Sword Breaker, and Tom Create announced Dairantou! Jewel Wars.

● From the Friday Update: Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore released on Switch with the Dark Samus and Richter amiibo also available, Ultra Instinct Goku was revealed for Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Dragon Quest Builders 2 producer Takuma Shiraishi is currently working on a new game which isn’t Builders 3.

● From the Weekend Update: CoroCoro Comic promise an Animal Crossing: New Horizons scoop in its March issue, rumours of a 2D Metroid game and Paper Mario for Switch in 2020, we posted details of Yo-kai Watch 4++ at World Hobby Fair Winter ’20, and Pokémon Sword / Shield broke Famitsu’s record of most number ones with 9 weeks.
