● It’s Jump Festa ’20 this weekend at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Nintendo will be having a photo booth for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp (see this post for more) and a stage show with Jump voice actors playing select Nintendo Switch games (see this post for more). More follows…

● Other Switch games playable at Jump Festa this time include Megaton Musashi from Level-5, Toraware no Palm Refrain and Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection from Capcom, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – The Official Video Game from Sega, Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers from Atlus, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution from Konami, Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission Hero Championship and One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 from Bandai Namco Entertainment, and Pokémon Sword / Shield from The Pokémon Company.

● The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Mega Tourney! has now been featuring Mega Smash battles where everyone is huge! Check out the full list of tourney rules here.

● BROCCOLI date the rhythm × simulation game Jack Jeanne for 05 August on Switch priced at ¥8,580 with a limited edition also announced. Check out the promo video and details how to win a Nintendo Switch Lite here.

● Idea Factory also dated the Otomate visual novel Olympia Soiree for 16 April on Switch priced at ¥7,150 with a limited edition also announced. Check out the opening movie here.

● The second Ninji Speedrun for Super Mario Maker 2 began with the Zelda-themed The Speedventure of Link.

Pokémon Sword / Shield saw an increase in Delibirds in Max Raid Battles where defeating them to get more Candy rewards than normal. Enter the code “PRESENT” to earn 20 x Lucky Balls.

● Marvelous will update DAEMON X MACHINA on 23 December adding the co-op dungeon exploration order and a human body fly modification skill. Screenshots posted here.

● Inti Creates updated Dragon Marked For Death to Version 2.3.0 with 3 options available for dash, control screen shake, player level cap increased to 90, bug fixes, and more detailed in the patch notes and new features trailer here.

● Ancient released the FM Sound Source Pack (MD & 88SBⅡ) DLC for Susume!! Mamotte Kishi Hime no Totsugeki Serenade priced at ¥980, with the game also updating to Version 1.2. Promo video posted here.

● Forever Entertainment announced the minimalistic surreal action game NO THING for release “soon” on the Japanese Switch eShop. Trailer posted here.

Pokémon Sword / Shield are #1 and #2 for the 6th consecutive week on the Japanese Switch eShop charts with a new entry for Baba Is You also registered. Check out the full top 10 for both Switch and 3DS here.

● MUTAN added the 7th experimental battle for Goonya Fighter called “Fire Them Turds!!” literally seeing players avoid turd whilst on the path too victory!

● Arc System Works updated Zombie Panic In Wonderland DX to Version 1.0.2 which adds the option to invert the aiming Y axis for each player and fixes a number of bugs. Another new update will soon add Little Red Riding Hood as a playable character.

Daigasso! Band Brothers P has now been removed from the Japanese 3DS eShop. Online servers will be terminated on 01 May 2020.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw the new Gothic Royal Cookie. Check out the introduction video showing all the items here.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw the Grand Hero Battle Revival – Delthea: Tatarrah’s Puppet event begin.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons again topped the Famitsu Most Wanted charts with Ushiro number one on the Famitsu Newcomers chart. Check out the full Nintendo-only charts here.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. (7974.T) stock decreased today by -520 (1.19%) in Japan to close trading for the week at 43,200.00 JPY.

● An uneventful interview with Nintendo Co., Ltd. President Shuntaro Furukawa and the Sankei Shimbun saw Furukawa consider the Chinese market a challenge, wanting to increase the number of Nintendo fans there, and will release more games there after Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey in late January.

● Nintendo Co., Ltd. are recruiting in Kyoto for a Network Game Development Engineer. More details are posted here.
