Monday Update:Megaton Musashi Coming to Nintendo Switch, Plus More News!

● Apologies for no layout in today’s update. I’m travelling all day and am relying on my iPhone to make posts. The main story (below) is Level-5 confirming Megaton Musashi – their new cross media project – for Nintendo Switch.

● After first being announced several years ago, Level-5 finally revealed gameplay footage of its upcoming mech-based ARPG Megaton Musashi which will be coming to Switch, PS4, and mobile. Post to be updated with screenshots and artwork shortly!

● Izanagi Games’s FMV game Death Come True will be coming to Switch, PS4, PC, and mobile in 2020, and is from the creator of the Danganronpa series. Teaser trailer posted here.

● WAN-FU will be playable DLC in SAMURAI SPIRITS from 19 December priced at ¥660. Check out the trailer here.

Pokémon Sword / Shield will undergo maintenance on 17 December from 10:00 -12:30 JST (16 December from 17:00-19:30 PT).

● G-mode will be publishing the crop-gathering simulation game Gunma’s Ambition -You and me are Gunma- on the Japanese Switch eShop on 23 December where it can be preloaded for ¥686 (the regular price is ¥980). Promo video posted here.

● Ittaro announced the second Kadobat Wars game for Switch with the tentatively tiled Kadobat Wars Project releasing next year. The original is a real time card battle game priced at just ¥390 ($3.89).

● Kakehashi Games announces they have localised Aquiris Game Studio’s multiplayer racing game Horizon Chase Turbo for release on the Japanese Switch eShop on 19 December.

Dragalia Lost saw Chapter 11: Android Anguish added to the main campaign (see this post for the full details) and a new difficulty level, Very Hard, also added to the main campaign. A mystery new countdown website has also opened up.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw both Mjölnir’s Strike and Special Heroes: Glorious Gifts begin. The latter featuring Marth: Royal Altean Duo and more. Details posted here.

Dr. Mario World updated to Version 1.2.1 with the big fixes detailed at this post.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw new items available for Reissue Crafting from past Winter events until 29 February.

● Game Freak Inc. are recruiting for 2021 graduates familiar with the Pokémon series for positions including Programmer, Graphic designer, and Planner. 

● Monster Hunter XX (Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate) producer Shintaro Kojima has announced that he has left Capcom with immediate effect.

● From this week’s COMG! rankings: Project Sakura Wars was on top with 259 pts, followed by Pokémon Sword / Shield with 162 pts, and Ring Fit Adventure with 72 pts. GEO have Pokémon as #1 followed by Sakura Wars, and what looks like a major restocking of Ring Fit Adventure.
