● With no Smash DLC announcement, the highlight of The Game Awards 2019 from many Nintendo fans’ perspective was Bravely Default 2 from Square-Enix which will be a Switch console exclusive in 2020. Check out the trailer here.

● First party games winning awards at The Game Awards 2019 were Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with “Fighting Game of the Year”, Fire Emblem: Three Houses “Best Strategy Game” and “Player’s Voice”, and Luigi’s Mansion 3 with “Best Family Game”.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons was re-confirmed for March 20 release in new artwork from Nintendo UK. Look out for a post on the front page soon!

● Nintendo announced that the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order second DLC Pack will arrive on 23 December with four X-Men (Phoenix, Gambit, Iceman, and Cable), new Gauntlet missions, new Danger Room Mode, and Marvel Knights character costumes. Artwork and trailer posted here.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate saw the “Bringing Back the ’80s” tournament begin. Check out pictures of all fighters, plus the full list of rules and stages at this post.

TETRIS 99 saw the beginning of the 10th Grand Prix / Maximus Cup / Teto 1 Cup event with a Team Battle Point Contest.

● Degica announced that the anti-RPG Hero must die. again (known in Japan as “Yuusha Shisu。again”) will be coming to Nintendo Switch next Spring. Teaser promo video posted here.

● Sega Games updated Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – The Official Video Game adding the 100m sprinter Yuki Koike. Check out the introduction video here.

● The January 2020 issue of CoroCoro Comic, which is out now in Japan, includes a code for an S-rank Shadow Venoct for Yo-kai Watch 4++.

● AQUASTYLE updated Fushigi no Gensokyo -Lotus Labyrinth- to Version 1.0.9 adding the Lotus Friends Yukari Yakumo, Fujiwara no Mokou, and Keine Kamishirasawa, an improved UI, and minor bug fixes.

● ORENDA updated the puzzle adventure game Rooms: The Adventure of Anne & George adding support for the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit.

● Taito announced that the second Vocaloid Pack for Groove Coaster Wai Wai Party!!!! releases on 19 December in Japan. A combined edition with game and pack will be available on the eShop for ¥6,500 from 14-25 December.

● GameTomo updated Project Nimbus: Complete Edition to Version 1.0.1 adding a cockpit view in all game modes, and fixing numerous bugs.

Pokémon Sword / Shield are numbers one and two on the Japanese Switch eShop charts for the fifth consecutive week. Check out the full top 10 for both Switch and 3DS at this post.

Fire Emblem Heroes will see Special Heroes (Glorious Gifts) on 16 December featuring Nino: Flower of Frost, Sothis: Silver Specter, Zephiel: Winter’s Crown, and Marth: Royal Altean Duo. Introduction video posted here with artwork to follow!

Mario Kart Tour will see the Holiday Tour available from 18 December with alternative costumes for both Pauline and Yoshi (pictured here).

Animal Crossing: New Horizons was again #1 on this week’s Famitsu Most Wanted and is up to 841 points. Ushiro again tops the Newcomers charts. Check out the full Nintendo-only charts here.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. announced that their third quarter financial results announcement will be on 30 January 2020.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. (7974.T) stock increased today by +60 (0.13%) in Japan to close trading for the week at 44,930.00 JPY.

Puzzle & Dragons GOLD will release on the North American eShop on 15 January priced at $14.99.

● Microsoft officially revealed the Xbox Series X at The Game Awards 2019 which will be available in Holiday 2020. Check out the 4K trailer here.

● A Pokémon: Twilight Wings web animation series will debut on 15 January set in the Galar Region with seven x five minute episodes planned. The next Pokémon movie was also announced for 10 July in Japan.
