Small Weekend Update:Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Turns 1, Toaplan Games Coming to Console, Plus More News!

● Nintendo posted a tweet on the one-year anniversary of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Masahiro Sakurai responded saying “We will continue to make them [various fighters] for a little bit longer” (thanks to Push).

● M2 announced that (nearly) all Toaplan arcade titles will be coming to consoles (read as Nintendo Switch) beginning in 2020. Check out the full list of applicable titles at this post including the two games already ruled out.

● Flyhigh Works and Happy Meal announced a physical release for their Famicom-style adventure game Ise Shima Mystery Annai: Itsuwari no Kuro Shinju for Spring 2020 plus a sequel for Akita Oga Mystery Annai: Kogoeru Ginreika for early Summer 2020.

● Bandai published a download code for Bakutsuri Hunters (on this page) which can be played with Joy-Con. The game doesn’t have a separate digital release (in spite contradictory reports elsewhere). Watch a 10 minute gameplay video for the game here.

● Taito announced that Darius Cozmic Collection will be coming to PlayStation 4 adding Darius Plus (PC Engine), Super Nova (SNES), and Sagaia (Genesis). All three additional titles will be coming in an update to the Switch version.

● Beep have moved the release of the Cotton Reboot for a second time, this time to early Summer 2020. I’ve reposted the promo video here.

● Cultural Broadcasting Extend announced that a demo for the cinematic adventure game BUSTAFELLOWS will be coming “soon” to the Japanese Switch eShop.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw the beginning of the new Mjölnir’s Strike event along with Axe Art Quests and a Special Maps: Rival Domains update. Full details posted here.

● The second half of Mario Kart Tour‘s London Tour will see the Shy Guy Cup as the ranked cup.

● The featured boss Thanatos has been added to Dragalia Lost‘s Astral Raids.

● And the 19th episode of the Fire Emblem ∅ (Cipher) live broadcast here on the eve of release of the 19th Booster Pack [Haten no Seien].
