Tuesday Update:Terry Bogard Video Presentation, Switch Sells 10m in Japan, 3DS Update, Plus More News!

● It looks like Terry Bogard will be arriving in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate soon as Masahiro Sakurai will be hosting a 45 minute broadcast tomorrow featuring an in-depth look “ahead of release”. Nintendo made sure to mention that “no announcements regarding any unrevealed fighters” will be made. Japanese and English videos along with global times available here.

● Nintendo announced that the Nintendo Switch family of systems (including the Nintendo Switch Lite surpassed 10 million unit sales in Japan as of 03 November 2019 (exactly 32 months after the original system released).

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also be updated to Version 6.0 “soon”. Read more details about the update at this post.

● Nintendo announced they will be publishing a Splatoon 2 Ikasu Debut Set on 22 November priced at ¥6,578 and including game, Ikasu Data Book, and 30 day Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Cover and images posted here.

● Nintendo will also be reissuing the Super Mario Party Joy-Con Set on 22 November priced at ¥10,978 (box art here), as well as the Super Mario Odyssey With Travel Guidebook priced at ¥6,578 (box art and sample pages here), and the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild With Adventure Guidebook priced at ¥7,678 (box art and sample pages here).

● The 29th will see a reissue of the Super Mario Maker 2 First Online Set too priced at ¥7,678 and including an annual Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Box art posted here.

● Konami updated CONTRA ROGUE CORPS with a number of changes and adjustments and have promised future updates. Check out the full patch notes and future update details here.

● The other Super Smash Bros. Ultimate news for the day is for a “Vault Shopper Set – Classic Tickets & Gold for Music, Mii Costumes and More” free download for paid Nintendo Switch Online members which gives players 5000 G and Classic Ticket x3.

● Ichigoichie Games have told us they hope to release the Japanese version of the rhythm game Hexagroove: Tactical DJ next month including Japanese, Chinese, and Korean text along with “a few other little goodies”. Check out the trailer here.

● Nintendo updated the Nintendo 3DS to Version 11.12.0-44J where “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience”.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw the second half of the Isabelle’s Double Dazzle garden event begin with blue-crystal-rose seeds × 20 free for each player. Read more about the event here.

Fire Emblem Heroes will see New Heroes (Desert Mercenaries) on 07 November featuring Tethys: Beloved Dancer, Gerik: Desert Tiger, Ewan: Eager Student, and Ephraim: Dynastic Duo. Introduction video posted here with artwork to follow.

● In this week’s GEO rankings: Persona 5 The Royal is on top with the limited edition showing a strong initial sales and Luigi’s Mansion 3 is #2 with high sales and is expected to be a major title for the rest of the year.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. stock increased again today by +1,230 (2.96%) in Japan to close trading for the day at 42,730.00 JPY.

● Nintendo Co., Ltd. applied for an Information processing patent aiming to solve the problem of an obscured view when dragging objects in games such as Super Mario Maker 2 with a finger or stylus. More information and several application images posted here.
