Pokémon Sword / Shield Available to Preload

The Pokémon Company’s upcoming Pokémon Sword/Shield games are now available to preload on the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop with each priced at ¥6,578 and requiring 9.5 GB (the download card says 10.3 GB – see this post). Sword & Shield support Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Korean, and Chinese language, launch on 15 November 2019, and don’t support save data backup. Download before 14 November to receive two wallpapers (pictured here). Screenshots added below…


The games are also available physically and digitally on the My Nintendo Store each priced at ¥6,578 – the physical either with or without game card – and as a Double Pack priced at ¥13,156. The Double Pack comes with codes for crystals that can be used for Max Raid Battles with Larvitar and Jangmo-o. Larvitar and Jangmo-o screenshots added below.
