● A quiet-ish news week although this upcoming week promises to be much busier with Nintendo’s second quarter financial results and the release of Luigi’s Mansion 3 for Switch, both on 31 October!

● From Monday’s update: Kirby (yet again) won the Nintendo Dream character poll, a Luigi’s Mansion 3-themed Grand Prix event was announced for TETRIS 99, and THQ Nordic Japan KK was established.

● From Tuesday’s update: Rosalina and King Boo both saw alternative costume versions in Mario Kart Tour, and Shuntaro Furukawa was interviewed in TIME refuting business model comparisons with Disney.

● From Wednesday’s update: Nintendo opened up the Nintendo TOKYO website , Ring Fit Adventure topped the charts, and Goichi Suda and Hidetaka Suehiro announced the indie horror game Hotel Barcelona.

● From Thursday’s update: Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers will release on 20 February, Pocket announced Overcooked Special Edition + Overcooked 2, and Sengoku Night Blood was cancelled.

● From Friday’s update: a joint Nintendo/DeNA patent implies cookie trading could come to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and Nintendo opened up refunds for Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore pre-orders.
