Tuesday Update:Nintendo Backtrack Over Gulliver’s Ship Changes, Nintendo Switch Lite Sells 114k, And More News!

● Nintendo have done a 180 for the second time on their handling of the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp game (the first was with an early gardening event) in which the most recent update saw an overhaul to the Gulliver’s Ship feature adding two more islands and a bigger emphasis on using the in-game currency, Leaf Tickets, in order to craft items. All players received 250 Leaf Tickets today with a number of changes (detailed here) arriving within several months. ● Reports of Nintendo Switch Lite‘s opening three days in Japan are approximately 114,000 units sold with the regular Nintendo Switch up to approximately 64,000 units, bringing the total lifetime numbers above 9 million for the country.

● The other big story involves Mario Kart Tour which launches in a few hours time. The app is already available on Japanese iOS devices AS Version 1.0.1, although is undergoing maintenance until around 16:00 JST.

● The next free costumes for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order will include for Black Panther, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America.

● Spike Chunsoft opened up the official website for Katanamichi Gaiden KATANAKAMI with Acquire listed as the sole developers.

● The 100 Gem Apples for use in Super Kirby Clash is back up ready for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers to download after being temporarily removed last week due to a malfunction.

● Ancient will be publishing the third Mamotte Knight/Gotta Protectors game Susume!! Mamotte Knight – Hime no Totsugeki Serenade on 10 October in Japan and 2020 in the west, priced at ¥1,980. Check out the promo video here.

Dragalia Lost will see a First Anniversary Dragalia Digest on 26 September at 12:00 JST (25 September at 20:00 PT) detailing the Version 1.12.0 update releasing at the same time. Video links here.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw Røkkr Sieges begin featuring Ephraim: Restoration Lord, Gunnthrá: Voice of Dreams, Tobin: The Clueless One, Cordelia: Knight Paragon, Nah: Little Miss, and Claude: The Schemer.

● The GEO report says that both The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and the Nintendo Switch Lite console “are both doing well”. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is at #5 whilst Cardfight!! Vanguard EX is at #6, with only the Switch versions making the top 10.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. stock dropped today by -480 (1.12%) in Japan to close trading for the day at 42,350.00 JPY.

Nippon Ichi Software posted the sixth video on the a teaser website for the mystery new title.
