● Reports suggest that Super Nintendo World at Universal Studio Japan will open in Spring 2020 and include a a Super Mario Kart Ride and Yoshi’s Adventures at launch, plus a magnetic interactive wristband.

● From Monday: Success announced a new Umihara Kawase series game that was later revealed to be Umihara Kawase BaZooKa!!, coming to 2020 on Switch. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will launch in Japan on 23 January.

● From Tuesday: Nintendo Switch received a Version 9.0.0 system update, Nintendo Switch Online and Nintendo eShop will see an increase from 01 October, and STAR OCEAN -First Departure R- HD will release on 05 December.

● From Wednesday: We posted the first review for The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Nippon Columbia announced Eiga Sumikko Gurashi for Switch release on 07 November, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses updated to Version 1.0.2.

● From Thursday: Nintendo announced the fitness adventure game Ring Fit Adventure for Switch release 18 October and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate won five awards at the Japan Game Awards including the prestigious Game of the Year Award.

● From Friday: A mystery new fighting-type Pokémon was teased for Pokémon Sword/Shield and Tetsudou Nippon!Rosen Tabi Eizan Densha Hen (Japanese Rail Sim 3D: Journey to Kyoto) will come to Switch on 28 November.

● From Saturday: Square-Enix announced Dragon Quest Monsters Terry’s Wonderland RETRO which launches in a few hours, and Koei Tecmo Games announced DX versions of the Atelier Dusk trilogy and a new Angelique series game for Switch.

● From Sunday: Capcom have decided upon the next Mega Man game, VS. Castlevania was among the many new Arcade Archives announcements, Obakeidoro!will release at retail, and City Connection are porting the Deathsmiles games.
