● The Japanese consumption tax increase on 01 October will affect both Nintendo Switch Online subscription memberships and Nintendo eShop prices Nintendo have warned. Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions will increase from ¥300 to ¥306 for 30 day memberships, ¥800 to ¥815 for 90 day memberships, ¥2,400 to ¥2,448 for annual memberships, and ¥4,500 to ¥4,590 for a 12 month family membership.

Edit: Nintendo have notified us that annual memberships and family memberships will remain at the same price.

● The price increase only comes into effect from 01 October so annual renewals from September will be at the initial price. Overseas prices will not be increasing. The price increases affect the Switch, 3DS, and Wii U eShop software, although not every title will see an increase. The only price increases that I know of in advance is the Hamster titles from ¥823 to ¥838, and I’m not 100% sure this will apply to the older titles.
